I was first introduced to Campos a few years ago by my sister and brother who had just moved up to Sydney from Melbourne. Eager to find a good coffee house that could cater their needs they were at first, at quite a loss .. it didn’t seem as if Sydney could deliver…

But suddenly they found through driving around … a little coffee house tucked away in a corner hiding a wonderful coffee heaven…

And when I first visited them after their move… (whilst I was still in uni, so we’re talking wayyyy back)… they took me to Campos for a visit… and I’ve fallen in love with their affogato $5 ever since…

So during my recent trip, I bugged Big Bro to drive down to Newtown so that I could have a little sip of coffee heaven…

The espresso was still as good as I remembered… and the ice-cream (Serendity Belgian White Chocolate ice cream) was still so rich and beautiful… *heaven*

And of course we didn’t just have coffee on it’s own… No No No… I don’t do things by halves… (so between breakfast and lunch)…

We ordered a couple of snacks…

Which was good… I’m not sure where Campos gets their baked goods from… but it was delicious

We had the coffee (espresso?) scroll $3 and the chocolate pastry $3.50

Trust me, that picture above doesn’t do it much justice, but the pastry was chocker full of dark bitter-sweet chocolate.. So good along with an affogato!

And to all Melburnians and Sunny Queenslanders… Campos is also now available in your area!

In Melbourne, its in the same area as the famous Seven Seeds… In Brissy … Google it 😛

However, methinks, it’s a lot harder to try and break into the Melbourne crowd.. I know I would still go for my coffees’ in Seven Seeds or Brother Baba Budan

But in Sydney.. it’s as good as it gets…
