Noodle House (right opposite Dessert House)… is easily one of the most frequented restaurants in Chinatown by Asian students.
I’ve been compiling photos over the last couple of times (hence the different picture qualities)..
It had never occurred to me to take pictures in this place, as I’ve been coming here since uni days…
We were the first customers of the day.. and we were hungry!!
Somehow, this place only tends to fill up once Dessert House is full… and apparently they are co-owned by the same owners who own Red Silk (upstairs near the Chinese Cinema)… but that seems more Hong Kong style, where as this one is more Taiwanese…
Mapo tofu served with rice
Yong Chow Fried Rice (the Boy’s favourite)
Thai Chili Chicken with Basil served with rice
Special Gold Star Fried Rice (the Boy had to try this one day…)… it’s special because it’s packed with goodies!!! (Scallops is one of them)
Lemongrass Pork Chop with Egg on Rice (This is my favourite and I always order this, which is a pity as this is number 55 on the rice menu, and I always skip the other 54 options!)
And it’s all yc’s fault!!
Another of the Boy’s favourite… Stir-fried beef with XO sauce and beans
Stir-fried beef (spicy) with rice
Taiwanese Soft Noodles with Pork
This place has it’s moods though. There are times when we’ve been here, the food hasn’t delivered.. and other times when it comes steaming out of the kitchen and blows the taste buds away..
Typical Chinese Restaurant…but I have taken many tourist friends here.. and they all comment that it’s good.. they seem to come here on lucky days!!

How to get there:
the mapo tofu looks so delish!
this is really one of the simplest dishes to make anywhere in the world so long as you can get hold of tofu and sauce package.
Here I bought a sauce pack so as to skip all the seasonings! and i will try this friday after work.
