In a blink of an eye… they’ve come and they’ve gone already…
2 weeks passes by so fast that it seems like a forgotten memory…
Just came home from dropping the BFF and her Man off at the airport. In a flurry of farewells, 2 big bear hugs, and they’re out of my life physically again…
Sudden tears spring up unbidden… I wipe them away, “Silly Girl!”, I can hear her voice echoing in my head, as we drive off into the darkness of the night.
It’s more obvious than normal, how lonely I am. How much I crave human interaction, especially from my BFF whom I’ve known for 20 years!!
It’s a Friday, and I won’t have to work tomorrow. I’ve got the day off.
Good news is, that instead of it being my last day today (since the initial temping agreement was for 2 weeks), they want me back there next week again!!
Yayy!!.. I must be doing something right…
The Boy gave me a big hug when we came home, and kept telling me to call the BFF and check on her, and to get them to sms me in the morning when they arrived…
Ahhh…. the highlight of the trip…
“Where’s the nearest toilet?”, S said.
“We’re nearly there already. Another 15 minutes to go!”, A replied.
15 minutes later…
“Oi, where is the toilet?”, S insisted.
“Nearly there already! Another 10 minutes!”, A lied.
Apparently.. my Boy works on Malaysian time…
Another 5 minutes…
“Where’s the toilet?!”, S said desperately.
“Okay, okay, we go to the McDonald’s toilet. It’s up the hill and down the hill in front there!”, A relented.
Up and down the hill we went… the BFF and I giggling like mad…
“OI!! Where’s the McDonald’s??????!!!!!!!”, S demanded… trying hard not to laugh or else…
Another tiny hill was in front of us, and there it was, the Golden Arches never looked so inviting to the BFF’s Man before…. in he ran…. and the 3 of us in the car laughing our heads off..
5 minutes later..
“Ahhhhh”
