Hello dear friends and readers, I write to you today from Kuala Lumpur.
I was always going to be back home this week to enjoy my all expense paid trip to Malaysia due to winning the Malaysia Kitchen Blogger Summit competition.
Sadly, as things in life have a way of playing things out, the reason why I am home earlier is due to the passing of a beloved family member.
Yesterday morning, we got the news that the Boy’s father had passed away after a long battle with lung cancer.
It breaks my heart that I never said goodbye. That I never told him that he was an amazing father to the Boy and a great father figure to me.
He won’t be around for our wedding, but he’ll always be in our hearts.
He was a fighter right until the end but the cancer was far stronger than him.
I’m not sure how long I will be away for, but I won’t leave you unattended.
Thank you to everyone who has expressed their sympathy and condolences.
In light of the recent tragedy, I urge you to get yourself checked for any symptoms related to cancer.
Better to be proven wrong, than find out much too late.

Ms I-Hua

Thanks Michelle.
Sympathies to the boy… glad you’re around to share the difficult times together. *hug*
Thanks Bryan 🙂 Hugs
Darling, thank you for taking this opportunity to look beyond your own (and the Boy’s) sadness to think of others and encourage us to take care of ourselves. You know why I, too, believe doing so is so terribly important, and why it hurts to know that the cancer is so often stronger. I’m thinking of you and the Boy so mcuh, so deeply – I dedicate all my many desserts tonight to you both. xoxo
You’re very sweet. Thanks so much for all your kind words. You made the Boy smile with ur SMS yesterday 🙂
