The last and final part to my epic food weekend at Taste of Melbourne…

By Sunday evening (which dinner I skipped), I was on the verge of food overload (if ever there was such a thing, Sunday night it was)

The lovely Smeg fridges which I always want but can never afford…

Here’s a message to Smeg… Please give me a free fridge.. I’d be so happy!! *sigh*… Wishful thinking…

Because everyone had one, I took one too!… Seriously, the grooviest and coolest car.. the Ben & Jerry’s mobile unit!

A range of 4 flavours were on offer (1 huge scoop for 2 crowns!)…. BARGAIN! The flavours were Triple Caramel Chunk, Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie (Which is seriously good and chocolatey!) and Phish Food (which is what I had)…

and I DIDN’T get any fishies… and I ate 3 quarters of the cup.. the Boy took over and had a fish… BAH!

Chef Ian Curley of The European

A shot of all the wagyu burgers selling like hot cakes (literally)

And a photo of the missing Luke Mangan to replace him actually being there…

A shot of the two boys doing some bartending tricks…quite fun to watch really!

The HSBC VIP lounge where important people and people who paid more for their tickets could wine and dine in…

A random shot of a wine stall with a framed “Ladies who Shoot their Lunch, Vintage 2009”

This stall was super busy the whole weekend and loads of people were buying sweets of them!

The Green and Blacks chocolate fountain where everyone eagerly awaited their turn with their marshmallow-onna-stick

Even Nando’s had a stand offering free tastings…

He cooks it..

WE grabs it!!! Poor man…

Different Nando’s sauces to try with some chips

Tired out, the Boy and I strolled back downstairs to see a huge crowd gathering in front of the Taste Kitchen…

For Masterchef contestant Jonathan Daddia (otherwise, fondly recalled as JONNO)

A very blurry shot of another Masterchef contestent, Peter…

I love this picture… and the teas smelt amazingly good as well…

They ever had a stall selling wonderfully scented candles (which I mistakenly thought were soaps)

Chocolate flowers, chocolate…

And yes, you saw right… Chocolate stilettos…hhhmmmmMmm…..MMmMmmmmm….

More chocolate shots…

One more shot of chocolates (there were oh so many)!

And finally, drained, tired, and so very very full….

With bursting tummies and an extremely fulfilling weekend…. until Taste of Melbourne 2011…

Our verdict: Taste 2009 was much better in terms of Restaurants on Offer, however, Taste 2011 was just as fun and the lay-out was much better (roomier as it was spread onto 2 floors).

Plus being an “old-hand” in the Taste game, we planned our Taste 2010 adventure a little bit better than the first time we attended.

All up, a great weekend.
